Art, Paris, Uncategorized Photos of the Week – Tuileries Gardens in December on a sunny day December 29, 2013 Rosemary Kneipp 2 Comments My favourite sailing boats in the Tuileries Maillol’s “Air” (1939) basking in the sun with the Louvre in the background The big wheel at Concorde The man in the middle of the photo kept inviting children to come and hold out their arm so that the pigeons could alight on them.
I have always visited the Tuilleries in Summer – it looks just as lovely in Winter. Quiter I’m sure!! Reply
Hi Fiona, on a sunny day, it is still lovely in winter – in the snow too as you can see from last year’s photos http://www.aussieinfrance.com/2013/01/powerwalking-down-to-concorde-in-the-snow/. Over the Christmas period, though, it’s not necessarily quieter. I was amazed at the throng of people. Reply
